Where is ESG going next?
Where is ESG going next? The latest edition of the corporate governance podcast unpacks what’s next for ESG, a movement that has enjoyed a few solid decades of progress but now finds itself challenged more than ever before.
Where is ESG going next?
Dan Byrne speaks with Niall Collins, Chief Executive of the Institute of Sustainability Studies in Ireland, about the next steps for environmental, social and governance principles.
Framed by the onset of the Trump presidency and the complaints about reporting rules in Europe, Dan and Niall discuss the changed landscape around ESG and the kinds of challenges companies face in incorporating it into company strategy.
Crucially, they’ll also discuss what ESG might look like in the short-to-medium term, separating the rhetoric from the regulations and stakeholder expectations. It’s a discussion that will inform anyone interested in how ESG might affect their company’s strategic goals and business challenges.
