How to be a good chair – a Corporate Governance Podcast
How to be a good chair: the latest edition of the corporate governance podcast explores this crucial boardroom role and how you can start well if it’s your first time. It’s a must for your corporate governance education.
How to be a good chair
Join your host, Dan Byrne, and Corporate Governance Institute co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer David Duffy, for an in-depth look at the role of the modern chair: how it’s changed, what its responsibilities are, and where the role might go in the future.
The chair of a board is an essential role, and successful chairs will often have to juggle a huge amount of responsibilities and relationships: from fellow directors to executives to shareholders to employees. It’s a tough job, but a hugely rewarding one if you get it right.
Moreover, the role of the chair has shifted a lot in the past few decades. Modern chairs are expected to be more active, initiative-driven, and able to encourage the best out of all other personnel in the boardroom.
Dan and David will run through all this and more in this latest Corporate Governance Podcast.
